The Central Board of Secondary Education has officially released the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test February 2026. This will be the 21st edition of the CTET exam, which is scheduled to be held on 08 February 2026 (Sunday) across 132 examination cities in India.
Eligible and interested candidates can submit their CTET February 2026 Online Application Form through the official portal ctet.nic.in. The online registration process will begin from 27 November 2025 and will continue until 18 December 2025, which is the last date for form submission.

Eligibility Criteria :–CTET February 2026
📌 Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes I to V (Primary Level)
Candidates applying for CTET Paper-I (Classes 1 to 5) must meet any one of the following educational qualifications:
Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per NCTE Regulations 2002.
Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Graduation with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed degree OR appearing in final year of B.Ed.
Such candidates will be eligible for teaching Classes 1 to 5 only after completing a mandatory 6-month NCTE-approved Bridge Course within 2 years of appointment.
Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed program.
📌 Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary Level)
Candidates applying for CTET Paper-II (Classes 6 to 8) must hold any one of the following qualifications:
Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Graduation or Post-Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Graduation with minimum 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year B.Ed as per NCTE Recognition Norms and Procedure issued from time to time.
Senior Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year B.Ed (Special Education).
Any candidate who has completed a B.Ed programme recognized by NCTE is eligible to appear for CTET/TET.
Candidates pursuing any teacher education course recognized by NCTE or RCI (as per notification dated 23 August 2010) are also allowed to appear for CTET/TET.
Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed programme.
