Recruitment Overview
The Indian Navy has started the online application process for the recruitment of Agniveer MR and Agniveer SSR posts for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches. Both unmarried male and unmarried female candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria can apply for these positions. The selection of candidates will be conducted through the Indian Naval Entrance Test (INET) 2026.

The online application window will remain open from 14 March 2026 to 06 April 2026. Educational Qualification: Agniveer MR and SSR Vacancy 2026
Educational Qualification for Agniveer MR
Candidates applying for the Agniveer MR position under the Indian Navy must have successfully completed the Matriculation (Class 10) examination from a recognized education board with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Important Note:
Students who are currently appearing in the Class 10 board examination for the academic session 2025–26 are also allowed to apply. However, they must meet all other eligibility requirements and produce the required documents during the recruitment process.
Educational Qualification for Agniveer SSR
For the Agniveer SSR post, applicants must fulfill any one of the following educational qualifications:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
OR
Candidates who have completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering in streams such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology from a Central / State / UT recognized Polytechnic Institute with at least 50% marks are also eligible.
OR
Applicants who have completed a two-year vocational course that includes Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects from boards recognized by Central, State, or UT authorities with minimum 50% aggregate marks can apply.
Important Note:
Students appearing in the Class 12 board examination for the academic year 2025–26 are also eligible to submit the application form, provided they meet all other eligibility conditions specified for the recruitment.
Physical Test Requirements for Indian Navy Agniveer MR SSR 2026
Candidates applying for Agniveer MR and Agniveer SSR under the Indian Navy must qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The test includes running, strength exercises, and minimum height requirements. Both male and female applicants must meet the following physical standards to move forward in the recruitment process.
