The Indian Navy has released an official notification inviting online applications for the post of SSR Medical Assistant (Sailor) for the 02/2027 batch, which is scheduled to begin in May 2027. Eligibility criteria: Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant 2026
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognized Board of School Education approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Applicants should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks along with a minimum of 40% marks in each subject.
Note: Students who are currently appearing in the Class 12 Board Examination for the academic session 2025–26 are also eligible to apply. However, they must meet all the required eligibility conditions and produce the necessary qualification proof at the time of selection.
Physical Fitness Test for SSR Medical Assistant 2026 – Complete PFT Criteria
Candidates applying for the SSR Medical Assistant post in the Indian Navy must successfully clear the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) as part of the selection process. Passing this test is compulsory for further consideration. Applicants should note that the PFT will be conducted at their own risk, and they must ensure they are medically fit before participating.
