Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have a B.D.S. (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from a recognized Indian University, approved by the Dental Council of India (D.C.I.), or an equivalent qualification.
• The candidate must be permanently registered under the Bihar & Orissa Medical Act 1916.

For Candidates with Foreign Degrees:

• If a candidate has completed a 4.5-year BDS course and a 1-year rotating internship from a foreign university and passes the FDST examination conducted by NBEMS, their degree will be recognized.
• These candidates will be considered eligible for the Dentist post, provided they meet the above requirements.

Training and Experience:

• A compulsory 12-month internship is mandatory at a hospital/institute recognized by the Indian Dental Council and the Government.
• The internship should be continuous, with no breaks allowed, regardless of the reason.
