The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Intelligence Bureau (IB) has released the admit card and exam city details for the written examination of Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe) recruitment 2025. This recruitment drive is being conducted for a total of 4,987 vacancies. The written test will be held across India during September and October 2025 at the designated exam centres. IB Security Assistant Admit Card 2025 - Important Guidelines
Candidates must have a valid e-mail ID at the time of registration, as all communication including the admit card/call letter for Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III exams will be sent only to the registered e-mail address.
Applicants are strictly advised to follow all the instructions mentioned in the admit card or call letter regarding entry , exit, conduct inside the exam hall, frisking, and other guidelines. Non-compliance with these rules may lead to cancellation of candidature.
IB Security Assistant Examination Scheme 2025 – Complete Overview
Tier-I: (Computer-Based Objective Exam – 100 Marks, Duration 1 Hour)
The exam will be conducted online with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
It will consist of 5 sections, each having 20 questions (1 mark each):
General Awareness
Quantitative Aptitude
Numerical / Analytical / Logical Ability & Reasoning
English Language
General Studies
A Negative Marking: 0.25 mark applies to every wrong attempt.
Tier-II (Descriptive Test – 50 Marks, 1 Hour)
This will be a written descriptive exam.
Candidates have to translate a passage of around 500 words from their chosen language/dialect to English and vice versa.
Tier-III (Interview/Personality Test – 50 Marks)
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview/Personality Test.
This stage carries 50 marks and will assess communication skills, confidence, and suitability for the post.
