Eligibility Criteria—Air Force Agniveervayu Educational Qualification 2026
For Candidates with Science Subjects
Applicants must meet any one of the following qualifications:
Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% overall marks and 50% marks in English.
OR
Completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering in disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation Technology, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
(If English was not included in the Diploma course, marks from Intermediate or Matriculation will be considered.)
OR
Successfully passed a two-year Vocational Course including Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects, with at least 50% total marks and 50% marks in English.
(If English was not a subject in the vocational course, marks from Intermediate or Matriculation will apply.)
For Candidates Other Than Science Subjects
Candidates fulfilling any one of the following criteria will be considered eligible:
Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent examination in any stream or subject combination, obtaining a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR
Completed a two-year Vocational Course with at least 50% overall marks and 50% marks in English.
(If English was not part of the vocational syllabus, marks from Intermediate or Matriculation will be taken into account.)
IAF Agniveervayu Physical Eligibility 2026 – Height & Chest Standards
Height Requirements
Male Candidates: The minimum required height is 152 cm.
Female Candidates: The minimum required height is 152 centimetres.
However, candidates from North-Eastern states or hilly areas of Uttarakhand are allowed a reduced minimum height of 147 cm.
For applicants belonging to Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height is 150 cm.
Chest Measurement Standards
Male Candidates: The chest must be well developed and proportionate, with a minimum chest circumference of 77 cm and a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
Female Candidates: The chest should be well proportioned, with a minimum chest expansion of 5 cm.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – Stage I
In the first stage of the Physical Fitness Test, candidates must complete a 1.6 kilometre run within the prescribed time limit.

IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment 2026: Exam Pattern Overview
For Candidates with Science Subjects:
The online written examination will be conducted for a duration of 60 minutes. The question paper will include Physics, Mathematics, and English, and the syllabus will be based on the 10+2 CBSE curriculum.For Candidates Other Than Science Subjects:
The online test will have a total time limit of 45 minutes. It will consist of English along with Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA) questions, as per the 10+2 CBSE level syllabus.
