Eligibility Criteria—IAF Medical Assistant (Group Y) Education 2026
Candidates must have completed Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects, securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
Alternatively, applicants who have passed a two-year Vocational Course are also eligible, provided they studied non-vocational subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and obtained a minimum of 50% overall marks, including 50% marks in English.
For candidates holding a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy, it is mandatory to have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, achieving at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English. Additionally, candidates are required to have completed a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with at least 50% aggregate marks and must hold a valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council or the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.
Medical Standards for IAF Medical Assistant Recruitment 2026
Height: Applicants must have a minimum height of 152 cm to be considered eligible.
Weight: The candidate’s body weight should be in proper proportion to height and age, as per Indian Air Force norms.
Chest: A minimum chest measurement of 77 cm is required, with a chest expansion of at least 5 cm.
Hearing Ability: Candidates should possess normal hearing, meaning they must be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
Dental Health: Applicants must have healthy gums and well-maintained teeth, with a minimum of 14 dental points.
IAF Medical Assistant Recruitment 2026: Physical Fitness Guidelines
To qualify PFT-I, candidates are required to complete a 1.6 km running test within the prescribed time limit, as mentioned below:

PFT-II (Physical Fitness Test – Stage II)
