NABARD Development Assistant Eligibility & Educational Qualification 2026
For Development Assistant (DA)
Candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution with at least 50% aggregate marks.
For candidates belonging to SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen categories, pass class in graduation will be considered sufficient.
In addition to the educational requirement, applicants must have working knowledge of word processing on a Personal Computer (PC).
For Development Assistant (Hindi)
Applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university, obtained through Hindi or English medium, with Hindi and English as either compulsory or elective subjects, securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Alternatively, candidates who have completed graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects and scored at least 50% marks are also eligible.
For SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen candidates, pass class in graduation is acceptable.
Candidates applying for the Hindi post should be proficient in translation work, with the ability to translate from English to Hindi and from Hindi to English.
They must also have basic knowledge of word processing on a PC.

NABARD Development Assistant 2026 – Salary Structure, Pay Scale & Allowances
Selected candidates will be placed at an initial basic pay of ₹23,100 per month, which already includes two advance increments. The post carries a long-term pay scale of ₹20,700 – ₹55,700, structured with periodic annual increments over a 20-year career progression.
In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances and benefits as per NABARD norms, such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Transport Allowance, and other applicable perks revised from time to time.
Considering the current allowance rates, the initial gross monthly salary of a NABARD Development Assistant / Development Assistant (Hindi) is approximately ₹46,500 per month.
