The National Testing Agency has officially released the notification for UGC NET December 2025. The examination will be held to determine the eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor’ and to award the ‘Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)’ across 85 subjects in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Eligible and interested candidates — both male and female — can submit their UGC NET 2025 online application form through the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in from 7th October 2025 to 7th November 2025.

Eligibility Criteria : UGC NET December 2025
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has specified detailed eligibility requirements for candidates applying for the UGC NET December 2025 examination. Candidates must carefully review the qualification and age criteria before submitting their application form.
Educational Qualification
General / UR / EWS candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination in Humanities, Social Sciences (including languages), Computer Science, Electronic Science, or any related subject.
(The complete list of eligible subjects is given in Appendix–V of the official notification.)OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination to be eligible for the test.
Candidates currently pursuing their Master’s Degree or who have appeared for the final year exam and are awaiting results may also apply. However, such candidates will be considered provisionally eligible and must complete their Master’s Degree with the required percentage within two years from the date of the UGC NET result. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.

The applicant should not be more than 30 years old as on 1st December 2025.
