Educational Qualification : UPSC IES/ ISS Exam 2026
For Indian Economic Service (IES):- Candidates must hold a Post-Graduate degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Econometrics from a recognized Indian university or an institution established by law. Degrees obtained from foreign universities approved by the Government of India will also be considered valid.
For Indian Statistical Service (ISS):- Applicants should possess either a Bachelor’s degree with Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics as a core subject, or a Master’s degree in Statistics or its related disciplines from a recognized Indian university or a government-approved foreign institution.
